STEAM TURBINE
1) DESCRIPTION
- The steam turbine at DTPS is a 3 cylinder tandem compound KWU make (Kraft Works Union i.e. German Design) 250 MW steam turbine.
- It consists of High Pressure turbine (HPT), Intermediate Pressure turbine (IPT) and Low Pressure turbine (LPT).
- The shafts of these turbines are axially coupled to each other with rigid couplings.
1.1) GENERAL
The 250 MW turbines at DTPS is of Kraftwerk
Union, Siemens AG design. The turbine is condensing, tandem compounded, horizontal,
reheat type, single shaft m/c. It has got separate high pressure , intermediate
and low pressure parts. The HP & LP parts are single cylinder and LP part
is double flow cylinder. The turbine rotors are rigidly coupled with each other
and with generator rotor.
HP turbine has both nozzle & throttle
controls. The steam is admitted through 4 combined stop and controls valves
.The line leading from HPT exhaust to reheater has got one cold reheat swing
check NRV. The steam from reheater is admitted to IP through two combined stop
and control valves. Two cross-over pipes connect IP and LP cylinder
Nice stuff dear diesel generator hire & used generator sales
